1992-Batch IPS Officer Anand Swaroop Takes Charge of Internal Security

​Anand Swaroop, a distinguished 1992-batch Indian Police Service (IPS) officer of the Uttar Pradesh cadre, has been appointed as the Special Secretary (Internal Security). This critical role within the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) involves overseeing the nation’s domestic security apparatus, counter-terrorism strategies, and coordination between state and central intelligence agencies. Mr. Swaroop brings decades of experience from his service in Uttar Pradesh and various central assignments to one of the highest e-chelons of India’s security administration.
