Accor, a global leader in hospitality, has appointed Amitabh Rai as the Chief Operating Officer (COO) – Luxury, Accor South Asia, effective January 15, 2026. With nearly 30 years of experience, including a significant tenure at The Ritz-Carlton (Marriott International) and Oberoi Hotels, Rai is tasked with steering the strategic and operational direction of Accor’s most prestigious brands: Raffles, Fairmont, and Sofitel. Reporting to CEO Ranju Alex, Rai will focus on brand curation, financial excellence, and fostering a “people-first” culture to solidify Accor’s position in the rapidly growing South Asian luxury market.
