NEW DELHI (Feb 10, 2026) – In a major push toward modernizing public education, Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta inaugurated 100 advanced ICT labs across government schools today. The ceremony, held at Sarvodaya Vidyalaya, Mansarovar Garden, marks the launch of the Digital Equalizer Program, a collaboration between the American India Foundation (AIF) and the Ladli Foundation Trust.
Infrastructure & Digital Upgrades
The initiative equips 100 schools with state-of-the-art technology to bridge the digital divide:

Hardware: Each lab features 20 high-spec computers and an Interactive Flat Panel Display (IFPD) for immersive learning.

Capacity Building: Trained personnel will be stationed at these labs to mentor students and ensure the equipment is utilized effectively.

Smart Classrooms: Education Minister Ashish Sood confirmed that 7,000 smart blackboards have already been tendered for 21,000 classrooms across the city.
New School Facilities & Teacher Training
Beyond the digital labs, the CM inaugurated several physical infrastructure projects:

DIET Building (Dilshad Garden): A new District Institute of Education and Training featuring 36 rooms and multiple laboratories dedicated to teacher professional development.

Expanded Capacity: The new facilities aim to improve the student-teacher ratio from 55:1 down to 40:1, ensuring more personalized attention for students.
