GREATER NOIDA – Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath inaugurated the KDSG Super Speciality Hospital in Dadri on Thursday, March 5, 2026. The 300-bed facility is a high-profile collaboration between legendary former Indian cricket captain Kapil Dev, entrepreneur Sunil Kumar Gupta, and the Ajeenkya DY Patil Group.
The state-of-the-art hospital, built at a cost of approximately ₹200 crore, is poised to become a critical healthcare hub for residents of the National Capital Region (NCR).
A “Cricket Analogy” for Healthcare
During the inauguration, the Chief Minister drew a creative comparison to Kapil Dev’s legendary career to inspire the medical community.
“When Kapil Dev stepped onto the field to bowl, the Pakistan team would often feel half-defeated before the match began,” the CM remarked. “Similarly, if doctors treat patients with confidence and a positive approach, half the illness is cured at that very moment.”
Key Hospital Features
The tertiary care facility is equipped with advanced diagnostic and treatment infrastructure, providing a range of specialized services:
-
Specialties: Advanced centers for Cardiology, Oncology, Neurology, Orthopaedics, and Gastroenterology.
-
Infrastructure: Modular operation theatres, high-tech ICUs, a catheterization lab, and emergency trauma units.
-
Employment: The project is expected to generate nearly 1,000 direct and indirect jobs in the region.
Strengthening the “One District, One Medical College” Vision
CM Adityanath highlighted the rapid expansion of healthcare in Uttar Pradesh, noting that the state has grown from 17 medical colleges in 2017 to 81 currently operational or under construction. He emphasized that while government schemes like Ayushman Bharat (which has issued over 5.6 crore Golden Cards in UP) provide a safety net, private sector participation is essential for delivering world-class specialty care.
Kapil Dev expressed his commitment to establishing a new benchmark in ethical, patient-centered healthcare, thanking the state government for its support in bringing the vision of KDSG to Greater Noida West.
