NEW DELHI: In a major organizational shake-up, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has overhauled its leadership across multiple key states and union territories.
According to official communiqués issued on May 28, 2026, by Arun Singh, the BJP National General Secretary and Headquarters In-Charge, Party National President Nitin Nabin has approved the fresh state appointments. The party confirmed that all the new appointments will come into effect immediately.
Core Leadership Changes Across Four States
The high-level organizational appointments target crucial regional leadership positions ahead of upcoming political seasons:

Haryana: Dr. Archana Gupta has been named the new State President for the Bharatiya Janata Party in Haryana. Copies of the directive have been forwarded to the Chief Minister of Haryana for formal information.

Punjab: Sardar Keval Singh Dhillon has been elevated as the State President of the BJP Punjab unit.

Tripura: Moving to streamline its leadership in the Northeast, the party has appointed Shri Abhishek Debroy, a sitting Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA), as the State President for Tripura BJP. The notice has been marked to the Tripura Chief Minister.

Delhi: In a significant move for the national capital, Shri Harsh Malhotra, Union Minister of State, Government of India, has been handed the reins as the new President of the BJP Delhi Pradesh unit. The internal notification has also been sent to the Chief Minister of Delhi.
