NEW DELHI: The Duolingo English Test (DET) has announced the appointment of Divya Rao as its Marketing Lead for India. In her new capacity, she will spearhead the brand’s comprehensive marketing blueprint across the country, focusing on accelerating brand awareness, driving student engagement, and forging strategic institutional partnerships.
Ms. Rao brings over 12 years of specialized strategic marketing experience, having managed high-growth consumer and entertainment portfolios for prominent global enterprises.

Prior to joining the Duolingo English Test framework, Ms. Rao built an extensive career leading large-scale cultural and brand campaigns:

Netflix India: During her five-year tenure as a core member of the marketing division, she conceptualized and executed major promotional campaigns. She was instrumental in driving audience engagement and brand growth for high-profile shows and cinematic releases, including Money Heist, Stranger Things, Heeramandi, Khakee, The Royals, and Taskaree.
