MUMBAI — Yamaha Motor India has formally expanded its regional leadership team with the appointment of Mr. Pramod Shivajirao Dhane as General Manager – West Zone Sales. He steps into the new role with over a decade and a half of extensive sales and corporate management experience within the Indian automotive industry.
Prior to joining Yamaha’s two-wheeler division, Dhane completed a major ten-year tenure at Hyundai Motor Company, where he most recently served as the Associate General Manager.

Dhane’s transition to Yamaha brings deep-domain expertise in regional dealership networks, volume scaling, and market penetration strategies across the Western Indian market. His professional trajectory spans several top-tier global and domestic automotive brands:

Strategic Focus at Yamaha
In his new capacity as General Manager, Dhane will oversee sales strategies, dealer relations, and market share expansion for Yamaha’s diverse motorcycle and scooter lineup across Maharashtra, Gujarat, Goa, and Madhya Pradesh.
The Western zone represents a high-volume growth corridor for the company’s premium sport-centric and commuter portfolios. Dhane’s primary focus will involve optimizing inventory velocity, executing localized product placements, and strengthening customer touchpoints to compete with aggressive domestic players.
