SINGAPORE — Reflecting the rapid convergence of interactive media and mainstream pop culture, global advertising and marketing giant dentsu has promoted Dan Pantumsinchai to an expanded regional leadership role as Managing Director – Gaming & Entertainment, APAC.
Pantumsinchai previously served as dentsu’s Managing Director of Gaming for the Asia-Pacific region, where he successfully spearheaded the network’s regional gaming strategy and brand integration frameworks.
Expanded Mandate: Connecting Culture to Commerce
In his broadened remit, Pantumsinchai is tasked with consolidating dentsu’s specialized entertainment verticals across APAC markets. His core strategic objectives include:
-
Cross-Entertainment Integration: Unifying traditional gaming strategies with high-growth, overlapping Asian pop-culture sectors, specifically Anime, Manga, Music, and wider intellectual properties (IPs).
-
Brand Growth Strategy: Partnering with regional teams and multi-market clients to design integrated campaigns that effectively translate fan culture into commercial growth.
-
Audience Engagement: Capitalizing on the heavy overlap between gaming subcultures and mainstream entertainment in the APAC region to build high-recall, authentic consumer touchpoints.
The Evolving Media Landscape
The expansion of Pantumsinchai’s portfolio marks a distinct shift in how global agencies view the gaming ecosystem. Rather than treating gaming as an isolated digital channel, dentsu’s restructured position treats it as an anchor for a broader entertainment value chain.
“This change reflects how the media landscape is evolving,” Pantumsinchai noted in an official statement. “Gaming continues to be a key pillar, but it is increasingly interconnected with other areas of entertainment. In APAC particularly, these worlds overlap significantly, creating new opportunities for brands to engage audiences in more meaningful ways.”
