GUWAHATI — The flood situation in Assam showed slight signs of improvement, with the total affected population declining from 7.05 lakh across nine districts down to 6,54,800 across six districts. However, four fresh fatalities pushed the state’s seasonal flood death toll to 66.
According to the Assam State Disaster Management Authority (ASDMA), the latest deaths were reported from Sivasagar (3) and Charaideo (1).
