GUWAHATI — The Assam government has approved a second six-month extension for State Chief Secretary Dr. Ravi Kota (IAS: 1993), extending his tenure at the top administrative post through April 30, 2027.
The extension takes effect on November 1, 2026, following the completion of his first six-month extension ending October 31. The decision provides high-level bureaucratic continuity as the state advances several core policy and infrastructure initiatives.
