DEHRADUN — Senior forestry administrator Dr. S. Senthil Kumar, IFS, has been appointed as the Director General (DG) of the Forest Survey of India (FSI), headquartered in Dehradun.
An officer of the 1998 AGMUT cadre, Dr. Kumar takes charge of the premier national organization responsible for the assessment, monitoring, and geospatial mapping of India’s forest and tree resources under the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change (MoEFCC).
