NEW DELHI — In a key central administrative posting, Avinash Jain, an officer of the Indian Railway Service of Engineers (IRSE), has been appointed as Joint Secretary in the Department of Water Resources, River Development & Ganga Rejuvenation (DoWR, RD & GR).
Jain transitions into the ministry from the National Capital Region Transport Corporation (NCRTC), where he was serving on deputation. His total central tenure has been fixed for seven years, running through February 6, 2029.
