NEW DELHI — The Union Ministry of Home Affairs has greenlit the official cadre reallocation of 2023-batch Indian Police Service (IPS) officer Apurva Sinha from the Assam-Meghalaya cadre to the Andhra Pradesh cadre.
Sinha’s transfer has been processed on the grounds of marriage to fellow IPS officer Mukund Singh Chahar, a 2025-batch officer belonging to the Andhra Pradesh cadre. The relocation is executed under the central administration’s established provisions permitting inter-cadre transfers for married civil services officers.
