In a significant administrative reshuffle, the Government of Assam has reassigned several IAS officers to streamline governance and reinforce departmental leadership:

Syedain Abbasi, Special Chief Secretary, is relieved from additional charges of Special CS, Irrigation Department and Resident Representative, Assam Government, New Delhi.

Kailash Chand Samaria, Chairman, Board of Revenue, and ACS, Fishery Department, is additionally posted as ACS, Irrigation Department.

Mrs. L Sweety Changsan, returning from Central Deputation, is posted as ACS, Revenue & Disaster Management Department, ACS, Department of Tribal Affairs (Plain), and CEO, ASDMA (additional charges).

B Kalyan Chakravarthy, ACS, Panchayat & Rural Development, is relieved from additional charge of ACS, Skill, Employment & Entrepreneurship Department.

Mukesh Sahu is transferred and substantively posted as Principal Secretary, Transport Department with additional charges of Border Protection & Development, Implementation of Assam Accord, and Skill, Employment & Entrepreneurship Departments.

Rakesh Kumar, MD, APDCL, is relieved from additional charge of Commissioner & Secretary, Excise Department.

Ashwani Kumar, Director, DITEC, will now also serve as Chief Data Officer under the Assam State Data Policy, 2022 (additional charge).

Dr. Lakshmanan S is transferred and posted as Mission Director, National Health Mission (NHM), Assam and MD, Guwahati Smart City Limited with limited additional charge of Secretary, Industries, Commerce & Public Enterprises (CMAAA only).

Adil Khan is now Secretary, Excise Department, and retains additional charges of Secretary, Welfare of Minorities Development, Barak Valley Development, and Irrigation Departments.

Pallav Gopal Jha is relieved from charges of Secretary, Revenue & DM and Additional CEO, ASDMA, and gains the additional charge of MD, Guwahati Jal Board.

Oinam Sarankumar Singh is posted as Secretary, Handloom, Textile and Sericulture Department, Secretary, Water Resources Department, and MD, Assam Silk Outreach Mission (additional charges).
