Procter & Gamble (P&G) has announced the appointment of Shailesh Jejurikar as its new President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO), effective January 1, 2026. Currently serving as the company’s Chief Operating Officer (COO), Jejurikar will succeed Jon Moeller in the top role.
As COO, Jejurikar has managed Enterprise Markets across Latin America, India, the Middle East, Africa, Southeast Asia, and Eastern Europe. He has also been responsible for global functions such as IT, Global Business Services, Sales, Market Operations, Purchasing, Manufacturing, Distribution, and New Business.
Jejurikar’s journey with P&G began in 1989 when he joined as an Assistant Brand Manager for Personal Health Care in India. Over the past three decades, he has held leadership roles across Skin Care, Personal Cleansing, North America, Europe, Asia, and Africa markets, steadily climbing the ranks.
Before becoming COO, he led P&G’s Fabric & Home Care division, the company’s largest business unit, which accounts for nearly one-third of P&G’s total sales and profits and includes iconic brands such as Tide, Ariel, Downy, Gain, Febreze, and Swiffer.
From 2016 to 2021, Jejurikar also served as the executive sponsor for global sustainability, steering the company’s environmental and social initiatives worldwide.
With over three decades of diverse international experience, Jejurikar is set to lead P&G into a new era focused on innovation, consumer-centric growth, and responsible leadership.
