The Uttar Pradesh government has carried out a significant administrative reshuffle, transferring and assigning new responsibilities to at least eight senior officers across various departments and corporations, including the state transport, tourism, and planning sectors.
Key Appointments and Changes:
Smt. Selva Kumari J. has been appointed as the Director General and Secretary of the Technical Education Department. She previously served as the Secretary of the Planning Department.
Shri Sameer Verma (IAS), who was awaiting posting, is now the Secretary of the Planning Department and Director General of Economics and Statistics.
Shri Prabhu Narayan Singh (IAS) has been named the Managing Director of the Uttar Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (UPSRTC).
Shri Masoom Ali Sarwar, the outgoing MD of UPSRTC, is now the Chief Executive Officer of the Uttar Pradesh Sunni Central Waqf Board.
Shri Ashish Kumar, formerly the Special Secretary of the Stamp and Registration Department, has been appointed as the Managing Director of the Uttar Pradesh State Tourism Development Corporation (UPSTDC).
Changes in Local Administration:
Shri Arpit Upadhyay, previously the Chief Development Officer of Rae Bareli, is the new Municipal Commissioner of Kanpur Nagar.
Shri Sudhir Kumar, the outgoing Municipal Commissioner of Kanpur Nagar, will now serve as the Special Secretary, Stamp and Registration Department.
Smt. Anjulata, Secretary of the Moradabad Development Authority, has been shifted to the position of Chief Development Officer (CDO) of Rae Bareli.
