Consumer electronics company boAt has announced a major leadership transition as it prepares for its Initial Public Offering (IPO).
Effective immediately, Gaurav Nayyar, the former Chief Operating Officer (COO), has been promoted to Chief Executive Officer (CEO). The outgoing CEO, Sameer Mehta, will transition to the role of Executive Director, while cofounder Aman Gupta will continue in his capacity as Non-Executive Director.
This internal restructuring supports the company’s IPO plans, having received SEBI approval on August 1, 2025, with an expected listing around Q1 2026 targeting a valuation of approximately ₹2,000 Crore. The move also signals a potential strategic shift toward aggressive e-commerce expansion to better compete with quick-commerce rivals.
