Bitget, the world’s largest Universal Exchange (UEX), has appointed Ignacio Aguirre Franco as its new Chief Marketing Officer (CMO), a move aimed at strengthening its global brand and user engagement strategy.
Ignacio brings over fifteen years of experience across technology, fintech, and blockchain, having held senior roles at companies such as Adobe, SAP, Scorechain, and Xapo Bank. His background combines an engineer’s analytical mind with a marketer’s ability to communicate complex technology clearly.
At Bitget, his primary mission is to advance the company’s Universal Exchange (UEX) vision—a model designed to bridge CeFi (Centralized Finance), DeFi (Decentralized Finance), and TradFi (Traditional Finance) into one accessible ecosystem for all users. He will lead global marketing initiatives focused on expanding user engagement, enhancing product storytelling, and driving mass adoption of key products, including Onchain, GetAgent, and Stock Futures.
Ignacio stated his mission is to “dismantle those old barriers” in the fractured financial landscape and ensure “the story of the UEX… resonates with billions of people across the globe, making secure access to crypto and RWA a reality for every person.”
The appointment aligns with Bitget’s transition into a new UEX era, aimed at deepening its global influence and reinforcing its reputation for innovation and security. Gracy Chen, CEO of Bitget, welcomed the appointment, noting that Ignacio’s “mix of technical fluency and creative vision… aligns perfectly with our mission.” Bitget’s long-term goal is to reach 150 million users by 2026 and further financial inclusivity.
