In a move to ensure continuity in India’s agricultural export strategy, the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved the extension of Mr. Abhishek Dev’s central deputation tenure. Currently serving as the Chairman of the Agricultural and Processed Food Products Export Development Authority (APEDA), Dev will now continue in his role for an additional year beyond February 8, 2026. A 2007-batch IAS officer of the AGMUT cadre, his extension comes at a time when India is aggressively pushing for higher exports of processed foods and organic produce to global markets.
