Ajaneesh Kumar, a 1996-batch Indian Foreign Service (IFS) officer and the current Ambassador of India to Argentina, has been appointed as the next Ambassador of India to Uruguay.
The Ministry of External Affairs announced the appointment, affirming that Kumar will soon assume his new diplomatic responsibilities in Montevideo. With extensive diplomatic experience and a strong track record in international relations, his appointment is expected to further strengthen India–Uruguay bilateral ties across trade, culture, and strategic cooperation
