Ajay Gupta, an Indian Railway Stores Service (IRSS) officer, has been appointed as Joint Secretary in the Department of Legal Affairs. He is currently serving as Joint Secretary in the Ministry of Textiles.
His appointment is effective from the date he assumes the new charge and will continue until his superannuation on August 31, 2026.
