Ambarish Vemuri, a 2016 batch Indian Foreign Service (IFS) officer, has been appointed as Deputy Secretary in the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) for a tenure of three years.
His appointment reflects the government’s continued emphasis on bringing experienced foreign service officers into key policymaking and strategic coordination roles at the highest level of governance.
