The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) has announced the appointment of Mr. Amit Kumar Mishra as the next Ambassador of India to Georgia. A distinguished diplomat of the 2004 batch of the Indian Foreign Service (IFS), Mr. Mishra is currently serving at the MEA Headquarters in New Delhi. His transition to Tbilisi comes at a pivotal moment as India seeks to expand its strategic and economic footprint in the Caucasus region, following the historic opening of a permanent Indian Embassy in Georgia in recent years.
