Mr. B. K. Gangle, a senior officer of the Indian Forest Service (IFS) belonging to the 1996-batch Union Territory (UT) cadre, has been appointed as the Deputy Director General of Forests (DDGF) at the Regional Office in Shillong. His appointment is on a deputation basis and became effective on December 1, 2025. According to the official notification from the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change (MoEFCC), he will serve in this critical regional leadership role until April 2, 2026.
