Mr. Bhushan Gagrani, a veteran 1990 batch Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer, is set to continue as the Commissioner of the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) until his superannuation. According to recent administrative directives, Gagrani will lead India’s richest civic body through the final months of his career, with his retirement scheduled for March 2026. Having taken the helm during a period of significant infrastructure transformation in Mumbai, his extension in the post ensures continuity for several high-stakes urban projects.
