The Bihar government has executed a large-scale administrative reshuffle, transferring over 100 bureaucrats. The move includes changes across key services, with six IAS officers, five IPS officers, and numerous Bihar Administrative Service (BAS) officers reassigned.
This significant change is widely seen as a pre-election alignment of the state’s bureaucracy. Among the key appointments is IAS officer Anil Chaudhary, who has been named Special Secretary in the Home Department. The transfers fuel speculation of further administrative tweaks aimed at prioritizing key areas such as infrastructure development and anti-corruption drives.
