The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved the assignment of the additional charge of Secretary, Department of Telecommunications (DoT), to Mr. Chanchal Kumar (\text{IAS: 1992} batch, Bihar cadre), who is currently the Secretary for the Ministry of Development of North Eastern Region (MDoNER); he will hold this charge temporarily from December 12 to December 21, 2025, during the leave period of the incumbent Secretary, Mr. Neeraj Mittal (IAS: 1992 batch, Tamil Nadu cadre).
