Jitendra Shukla, a seasoned 2013-batch IPS officer of the Chhattisgarh cadre, has been cleared to join the National Security Guard (NSG) on central deputation. Known for his tactical experience and administrative grit in sensitive zones, Shukla’s transition to the “Black Cats” is seen as a strategic move to infuse the elite counter-terrorism unit with field-tested leadership. His appointment follows a successful stint in Chhattisgarh, where he served in several key districts, and he will now take on a senior operational role within the central paramilitary force under the Ministry of Home Affairs.
