The Delhi government has put on hold its recent order banning “end-of-life” vehicles following a strong public backlash. The directive, which was to take effect three days ago, aimed to deny fuel at petrol pumps and impound diesel vehicles older than 10 years and petrol vehicles older than 15 years. However, the move faced widespread criticism, prompting the administration to pause implementation for now.
