The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved the extension of Dr. Vipin Kumar’s tenure as Deputy Secretary in the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO). A 2013-batch Indian Foreign Service (IFS) officer, Dr. Kumar has been serving in the PMO since November 2022. The new extension prolongs his central deputation until January 4, 2027, or until further orders. This move ensures administrative continuity in the Prime Minister’s core team as he continues to assist in high-level diplomatic and strategic coordination.
