Dr Y R S Rao, who currently holds the position of Scientist ‘G’ at the National Institute of Hydrology (NIH), Roorkee, has been appointed as the Director of the institute.
Known for his contributions to hydrological research and water resource management, Dr Rao’s elevation is expected to strengthen NIH’s leadership in advancing scientific innovations in India’s water sector. His appointment marks a continuation of the institute’s commitment to academic excellence and applied research.
