MUMBAI — Times Network has announced a comprehensive restructuring of its news revenue team for FY27, appointing Edwin Crasto as the Zonal Head of its new strategic growth vertical, Network Alliance.
In this new role, Crasto will report directly to Gaurav Dhawan, the Chief Revenue Officer (CRO) of Times Network. The restructuring, led by CEO Ashish Sehgal, is designed to improve accountability and speed in a rapidly shifting media consumption landscape.
New Leadership Hierarchy
The realignment creates a clear chain of command within the Network Alliance vertical to drive nationwide expansion.
-
Zonal Leadership: Edwin Crasto will oversee key regions to unify the network’s revenue strategy.
-
Regional Reporting: Prajit Menon (Region Head – West) and Prateek Sharma (Region Head – North) will both report to Crasto.
-
Strategic Oversight: The entire vertical remains under the leadership of Gaurav Dhawan.
Focus of the “Network Alliance” Vertical
The Network Alliance has been identified as a critical driver for scale and high-margin revenue. Its primary objectives include:
-
Media Partnerships: Focusing on smaller agency alliances and partnerships with print companies.
-
Diverse Revenue Streams: Tapping into volume, barter, and brand capital opportunities.
-
Group Synergy: Increasing business from Group B companies and expanding into new IP (Intellectual Property) and Brand Solutions categories.
Strategic Rationale
CEO Ashish Sehgal emphasized that the move is a response to the “customer-first mindset” required in the modern era. By unlocking new business opportunities and fostering better collaboration, the network aims to stay ahead of evolving brand effectiveness pressures and media consumption shifts.
