The government has promoted five IPS officers to the rank of Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIG), while the promotion of Vivek Soni has been withheld due to pending disciplinary proceedings.

Dr. Nanak Singh
Gaurav Garg (currently on central deputation)
Deepak Hilori
Gurmit Singh Chauhan
Naveen Saini
According to the promotion order issued by State Home Department Secretary Alok Shekhar, the officers have been promoted to Level 13-A of the pay matrix with immediate effect.
Conditions Attached:
Promotions are subject to pending writ petitions and court rulings.
Financial benefits and future increments for some officers will be applicable only after completion of Phase III of the Mid-Career Training Programme.
Gurmit Singh Chauhan and Naveen Saini’s promotions are conditional upon review of the select list and seniority re-determination by the Ministry of Home Affairs.
