Trigun Kulkarni, a 2016 batch IAS officer, has been appointed as the President (Chairperson) of the Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (MSBSHSE), marking the first time in the board’s history that a bureaucrat has been given the position; Kulkarni, who previously served as the Deputy Director General at the Yashwantrao Chavan Academy of Development Administration (YASHADA), will now oversee the body responsible for conducting the state’s Class 10 (SSC) and Class 12 (HSC) examinations for approximately 32 lakh students annually.
