The Government of India has approved the appointment of Mr. Veerendra Kumar Mishra, a distinguished 2012-batch Indian Police Service (IPS) officer of the Madhya Pradesh (MP) cadre, as Deputy Secretary in the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA). Currently serving on central deputation, Mr. Mishra’s induction into the MHA is a strategic move to leverage his extensive experience in ground-level policing and internal security for national policy-making. His tenure in this role is expected to span four years, or until further orders, under the Central Staffing Scheme.
