In a significant leadership transition for the Indian judiciary, Justice Soumen Sen, the current Chief Justice of the Meghalaya High Court, has been transferred and appointed as the Chief Justice of the Kerala High Court. This appointment is set to take effect following the retirement of the incumbent, Justice Nitin Madhukar Jamdar, who is scheduled to demit office on January 9, 2026.
