Kirti Ganorkar, who has led Sun Pharma’s India business since June 2019, has been appointed as the Managing Director of Sun Pharmaceutical Industries, effective September 1, 2025 .
He succeeds founder Dilip Shanghvi, who will remain as Executive Chairman to ensure leadership continuity. Ganorkar’s appointment, for a five-year term, is subject to shareholder approval at the July 31 AGM, and marks a major step in the company’s structured succession planning .
