Kuldeep Dwivedi, Deputy Inspector General (DIG) in the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), has been appointed as Joint Director of the agency.
Dwivedi is a 2005-batch Indian Police Service (IPS) officer of the Jharkhand cadre. He brings with him nearly two decades of policing and investigative experience.
His elevation comes at a time when the CBI is handling several high-profile cases across the country.
