In a recent bureaucratic reshuffle, the Madhya Pradesh government has reassigned roles to several IAS officers to streamline administrative functioning and improve departmental coordination:

K C Gupta has been appointed as Additional Chief Secretary (ACS), Cottage and Village Industries.

Dr Navneet Mohan Kothari will now serve as Principal Secretary (PS) to the Governor of Madhya Pradesh.

Ashok Barnwal, currently ACS, Forest, will additionally hold the charges of ACS, Environment, Environment Commissioner, and Director General, EPCO.

Chandramauli Shukla, MD, MP Industrial Development Corporation, has been given additional charge as Additional Secretary to the Chief Minister.

Deepak Arya, CEO of the Rural Road Development Authority, will now also take over as Executive Director (ED), EPCO.

Amit Rathore, PS, Commercial Tax and PS, Cottage & Village Industries, will be relieved of the additional charge of PS, Cottage & Village Industries.

Mrs Uma Maheshwari has been relieved of her additional responsibility as ED, EPCO.
This reshuffle aims to enhance administrative efficiency ahead of key developmental and policy rollouts in the state.
