New Delhi | April 10, 2026 — In a sweeping administrative move, the Lieutenant Governor of Delhi has ordered the immediate transfer and posting of 33 high-ranking officers, including senior IAS and DANICS (Delhi, Andaman & Nicobar Islands, Lakshadweep, Dadra & Nagar Haveli and Daman & Diu Civil Service) cadres. The reshuffle, detailed in Order No. 130, aims to streamline governance across key departments including Finance, Education, and the Delhi Development Authority (DDA).
Top Tier IAS Realignments
The reshuffle is led by senior IAS officers taking on critical portfolios. Dr. G. Narendra Kumar (IAS: 1989), who was awaiting posting, has been appointed as the Financial Commissioner. Meanwhile, Shri Prashant Goyal (IAS: 1993) transitions from Financial Commissioner to Additional Chief Secretary (Food & Civil Supplies), while also holding additional charges in Power and AR departments.
Other notable IAS movements include Ms. Soumya Saurabh (IAS: 2014), who retains her role as DM (North-West) with the added responsibility of Special Secretary (Industries), and Ms. Sonika Singh (IAS: 2015), who moves from the LG Secretariat to become Commissioner (DDA).
