Amara Raja Energy & Mobility Limited (ARE&M) has announced the appointment of Narayan Choudhary as its new Chief Operations Officer (COO). A veteran with nearly 30 years of experience in the automotive and industrial sectors, Choudhary joins from Taco Punch Powertrain, where he served as CEO. He succeeds C. Narasimhulu Naidu, who is retiring after a distinguished three-decade career with the group. In this pivotal role, Choudhary will spearhead the company’s manufacturing transformation, focusing on Industry 4.0 and the “Factories of the Future” initiative to bolster ARE&M’s global competitiveness.
The transition from C. Narasimhulu Naidu to Narayan Choudhary marks a symbolic shift for Amara Raja. While Naidu’s era was defined by building a robust physical manufacturing base, Choudhary’s tenure is expected to be defined by automation and data. As the company (formerly Amara Raja Batteries) continues to evolve into a broader “Energy & Mobility” player, his expertise will be critical in scaling up Lithium-ion cell manufacturing and advanced battery technologies.
