Navneet Kumar Sehgal, a retired 1988 batch IAS officer of the Uttar Pradesh cadre, has resigned from the position of Chairman of Prasar Bharati (India’s public service broadcaster), submitting his resignation on December 2, 2025; the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting (MIB) has accepted his resignation under Section 7(6) of the Prasar Bharati Act, 1990, relieving him from the post with immediate effect, less than nine months after his appointment on March 16, 2024.
