MUMBAI (Feb 28, 2026) — Prime Video and Amazon MGM Studios have announced an expanded role for Nikita Kandhari, who will now lead the content marketing strategy for their entire Hindi portfolio.
Expanded Mandate
Previously serving as Principal – Content Marketing, Kandhari’s new responsibilities will now encompass:

Original Content: Overseeing marketing for all Hindi Original Series and Movies.

Licensed Titles: Managing the promotional strategy for acquired and licensed Hindi cinema on the platform.

Integrated Campaigns: Leading cross-functional teams to build “audience-first” campaigns and scale new intellectual properties (IPs).
Background & Expertise
Kandhari brings nearly two decades of experience to this leadership role. Before joining Amazon, she held significant marketing positions at Netflix, Disney+ Hotstar, and Unilever. She is an alumna of the Indian School of Business (ISB) and began her career in research at Nielsen.
The move highlights Amazon’s continued focus on the Indian market, particularly in scaling its high-impact Hindi slate through data-driven and creative storytelling.
