The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting has approved the promotion of nine officers of the Indian Information Service (IIS) from the Senior Time Scale (STS) to the Junior Administrative Grade (JAG). These promotions, effective for the panel year 2025, elevate the officers to the rank of Joint Director. The newly promoted officers will assume key leadership roles across various media units of the government, including the Press Information Bureau (PIB), Akashvani (All India Radio), and Doordarshan News, overseeing media communications and government outreach at the regional and national levels.
