Ogilvy has announced the promotion of Guillermo Vega to Chief Creative Officer (CCO) for North America. Vega will now be responsible for overseeing the creative vision and output across all of Ogilvy’s capabilities and clients throughout the region.
This appointment follows the departure of Rafa Rizuto from the role after about 18 months to pursue a new opportunity.
Expanded Creative Oversight
In his new capacity, Vega will continue to lead creative efforts for major global clients, including The Coca-Cola Company (which was named Cannes Lions Creative Brand of the Year 2024), as well as Unilever and Mastercard.
Crucially, Vega will maintain his existing role as Ogilvy Group’s Global Creative Network Lead for WPP Open X, the dedicated agency team serving Coca-Cola. Furthermore, Ogilvy confirmed that Vega will oversee the launch of a new creative studio focused on integrating agentic AI into concepting and production.
Vega’s celebrated career includes global creative leadership roles at agencies like Saatchi & Saatchi London, 72andSunny New York, and Wieden+Kennedy São Paulo. His acclaimed work includes Coca-Cola’s 2024 Paris Olympics initiative and Powerade’s mental health program for sponsored athletes.
