Nikita Nagdev, a Pakistani national from Karachi, has released a desperate video appeal to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, alleging that her husband, Vikram Nagdev (a Pakistani-origin man living in Indore on a long-term visa), abandoned her at the Attari border on July 9, 2020, shortly after their marriage, to secretly prepare for a second marriage in Delhi; the case, which involves allegations of adultery and marital abuse, has sparked outrage and been investigated by the Sindhi Panch Mediation and Legal Counsel Centre, which, despite failed mediation, recommended Vikram Nagdev be deported to Pakistan since neither spouse is an Indian citizen.
