Pankaj Garg, an officer of the Indian Telecommunication Service (ITS), has been appointed as the Director General of the National Mineral Exploration Trust (NMET) under the Ministry of Mines. He will serve on deputation basis for an initial period of five years from the date of assuming charge, or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
