The Central Government has appointed Parag Jain, a 1989-batch IPS officer of Punjab cadre, as the new Chief of the Research and Analysis Wing (RAW).
He will succeed Ravi Sinha, whose term concludes on June 30, 2025. Parag Jain is set to assume office from July 1, 2025, for a fixed tenure of two years.
This leadership transition comes at a critical time for India’s external intelligence agency, as it continues to navigate complex global and regional security challenges.
