IKEA India has announced the appointment of Patrik Antoni as its new Chief Executive Officer, effective August 2025. With over 20 years of experience within the global IKEA ecosystem, Antoni returns to India to spearhead the company’s expansion and retail strategy, closely aligning with the Country Retail Manager & CSO under the unified ‘One IKEA India’ vision.
Antoni, a key member of the team that launched IKEA’s first store in Hyderabad, brings deep knowledge of the IKEA value chain and a legacy of successful leadership across global markets. As CEO, he will be responsible for retail operations across India, guiding IKEA’s growth in a dynamic and evolving consumer landscape.
“India is a truly unique market with immense potential. I’m honored to return and excited to help make IKEA more accessible to the many people here,” Antoni said.
The leadership change follows the decision of Susanne Pulverer, current Country Retail Manager & CSO, to step down after an illustrious 28-year career with IKEA, including eight years in India. She reflected on her journey with gratitude and pride, saying,
“I am thankful for the unforgettable experiences and leadership lessons I’ve gained at IKEA, especially during my time in India.”
Recruitment for Pulverer’s successor is currently in progress as IKEA India strengthens its focus on affordability, sustainability, and deepening its footprint in the country’s fast-growing home furnishings market.
