Mr. Priya Ranjan, a seasoned professional in the steel industry, has been appointed as the Director-in-Charge of the Bokaro Steel Plant (BSL), a flagship unit of the Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL). The appointment, effective December 24, 2025, was finalized following a nomination by the Ministry of Steel and subsequent approval by the SAIL Board of Directors. Mr. Ranjan, who was serving as Executive Director (Operations) at SAIL’s Corporate Office, succeeds Mr. Birendra Kumar Tiwari, who led the plant through a period of record-breaking production in the 2024–25 fiscal year.
